"Eid al-Adha or "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Ismail) as an act of obedience to Allah SWT, before Allah SWT intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead. The meat is divided into three parts. The family retains one third of the share; another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors; and the other third is given to the poor and needy. Eid al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic Calendar. Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj., the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadhan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah"
Hari Raya Aidiladha atau Hari Raya Haji merupakan perayaan yang dirayakan oleh umat Islam di seluruh dunia. Ia adalah perayaan terbesar di dalam Islam selain Aidilfitri yang disambut pada setiap 1 Syawal. Aidiladha disambut pada hari ke sepuluh, sebelas, dua belas dan tiga belas bulan Zulhijjah setiap tahun. Bermula dengan Takbir Aidiladha pada malam 10 Zulhijjah, diikuti dengan solat sunat Aidiladha serta khutbah Aidiladha di pagi 10 Zulhijjah, sambutan diikuti dengan ibadah korban yang boleh dilakukan samada pada 10 atau 11 atau 12 atau siang 13 Zulhijjah. Aidiladha adalah perayaan yang istimewa kerana ia merupakan hari untuk umat Islam memperingati kisah pengorbanan Nabi Ibrahim a.s dalam menunaikan perintah Allah dan ke-sabaran anaknya Nabi Ismail a.s dalam memenuhi perintah Allah s.w.t.

okeh, that's the intro for this up coming al-adha, 6 November 2011. Sunday. im going back home to celebrate it but yes keep it super simple. our plan is going to my opah house at Tapah. then, balik rumah. simple kan ... sememangnya that is how my family did. not as much as eid fitr. kalau raya puasa memang betul, sambut besar-besaran. HUHU
cuti aku tak banyak. just one day. isnin ni aku cuti but i'll come back to PG maybe on tuesday. next week will be my final exam for this sem. pray for me my dearest! this sem are really SUCKSS! risau betul aku kalau result aku jatuh. please make me above 3.5!!!
besties! aku dah balik ipoh ni ... call me as soon as possible or we will meet again another month. HUHU oke apa projek cuti ni? ahad ni balik tapah. and kak shida did ask me to come to her open house, insyaAllah. if berkesempatan i will come! hari isnin pun kawan aku buat open house and ... insyaAllah i will come too. not a promise.
and for this holiday, i hope for something. insyaAllah ada rezeki aku, ada laa ... tak nak mengharap sangat but i really need it. hemm
